Hilda MaryREADIt is with great sadness that we report the death of Hilda Mary Read (formerly Harries) aged 87, on June 8th at Coventry University Hospital.

Hilda was the loving Mum. Hilda was the loving wife to John. Mother to (the late) Vincent, Steven, Colin, Mandy, David and Adrian. She was also the Grandmother of 16 Grandchildren, and numerous Great-grandchildren.

Hilda will be sorely missed by all, as she was the matriarch of the family and kept in touch no matter what with all the members of the large family.

Hilda's funeral will be held on 3rd July 2025 at 2.30pm in Cannon Hill Chapel, Canley Crematorium.

Family flowers only. If you wish to make a donation in Hilda's memory the chosen charities are Asthma + Lung UK and The British Heart Foundation. These can either be left in the donation box at the exit of the chapel or online via Funeral Notices at www.franklinfunerals.co.uk

To my dear auntie Hilda, who was a big part of my life when I was young girl but we continued to see each other each other as she came to salon all her life . She made many friends while waiting for her appointment and enjoyed tea and biscuits and lovely chats she always said she enjoyed the company and putting the world right . Hope Hilda and my mum are having a good time with all the family who have passed. God bless you and and rest in eternal peace . Sending love to all the family at this very difficult time from Christine and family X
